ARMENIA: AWR has leased time om a 1 MegaWatt station in Armenia. Broadcasting on 1314 kHz 1730-1830 in Arabic and 1730-1800 in Farsi. Reception reports should go to AWR Europe, Caselle Postale 383, 47100 Forli, Italy.

IRAQ: Mother of Battles Radio announces it currently broadcasts on MW 693 and 1377 kHz. However. monitoring suggests 693 carries Iraqi Radio Main prgm and 1377 is silent. The Main Prgm is observed on 603, 693, 756, 963 and 1035 kHz. The Kurdish Service is heard on 1206 kHz (ex 1030 kHz), and the Voice of Youth continues to be monitored on 1084 kHz. (Wolfgang Buschel)

UNITED KINGDOM: Care 1278 AM has been operating during May from the Brooklands Museum. They have been using a crystal controlled transmitter slightly off-channel ... 1278.32 kHz ... creating het's with other stations.
